Stolen stuff:
Final count of items of value stolen yesterday: 1 Lenovo W500, 1 Canon Powershot of some sort, 1 Ti-84 silver, 1 iPod 4th gen, 1 set of various keys, RPI ID card, iClicker, PDA keyboard, Physics textbook part 1, all my notes and assignments, and finally some poetry I wrote.

So yeah, all of that stuff was in my laptop bag which was stolen from my friend's car. He and I had gone into Blittman commons for some food (we had just gotten back into town from the race), and then 30 minutes later we came back out and found passenger side back seat window had been smashed and my laptop bag was gone. Thank god all the bikes and gear was still there (had about $5K in bikes on that car... and probably $1K in gear in the car). We called RPI Public Safety and an officer filled out a report and all that. I'll be heading over to the public safety office to update the list of stolen items, give them some serial numbers and all that.

My parents will be helping me replace all this stuff so it's not too bad. My ID card was deactivated. I have a new room key and ID card. Going to get a loaner laptop tomorrow. More updates on the theft soon.

Named items (the things that matter to me):
So yeah I tend to name all the stuff I own that matter most to me. I have two new additions to the list of named stuff I own.
Current list (description, status): El Gigantico (desktop PC, in service), Kitty-Bitch (laptop, in service back at home), Fluffeh! (laptop, Missing In Action, 2 months old... >.<, Fluffeh! DOT 2 (replacement laptop, not yet purchased), Puma-Punk (my mountain bike, in need of re-tuning and cleaning).

So yeah, Puma-Punk and Fluffeh! DOT 2. I'm liking those names.

Mountain Biking:
So yeah, the race in Vermont went well. I came in last for my category but I had fun. The course was really technical (lots of roots, rocks, downhill sections, uphill sections, and other technical stuff) and it was wet which makes it like 10 times worse. So yeah it was pretty hard but it was definately worth it. I fell 4 times, almost fell down a hill, fell in a large puddle of water and mud x.x
So yeah Puma-Punk performed well under the circumstances and I'm pretty happy with how the race went overall. I will be removing the brake pads later tonight and soaking them in alcohol. The pads became contamined a few days before the race so the brakes weren't working too well during the race x.x
The drivetrain needs re-tuning. Right now I can't shift properally for the crankset gears (front gear set). >.<

Acacia:
I am now pledging at the Acacia fraternity. Yays!
Can't say much more than that.

Life overall:
College life is friggin awesome. I'm having a fantastic time at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I can't describe how awesome my life has become ever since I came to RPI. So yeah because I really don't feel like typing much longer I'm going to end this journal entry.
